Mapping Your Future introduces new website design to benefit students, families, schools

Parents and students are questioning the cost and the value of higher education, financial aid professionals continue to deal with shrinking budgets and increasingly complex regulations, economic and credit problems are still an issue for many people, and nearly everyone is concerned about student loan debt and the default rate, which is going higher.

To address all of these issues, Mapping Your Future recently became a part of the Money Management International (MMI) family of counseling and debt management services. See the related article. At the same time, Mapping Your Future redesigned its website to improve access to information and services and to lay the foundation for new services possible under its new partnership with MMI. Mapping Your Future debuted its redesigned site on June 20.

Students, parents, counselors, and financial aid professionals will now find easier access to college, career, money management, and financial aid information and services.

"We believe this new design will make it easier for users to find the information and services they need quickly and easily as well as enable to expand our offerings through our relationship with MMI." said Cathy Mueller, executive director of Mapping Your Future. "The goal of the redesign was to create a site that's user-friendly and one that address all of the issues being faced today by students, families, and higher education professionals."

The new design features revised navigation and new graphics. The website appearance is similar to the most recent version of the website, using Mapping Your Future's branding (logo, colors, and graphics). The tabs across the top of the redesigned site feature Online Counseling, Resources, Financial Professionals, Membership, About Us, and Contact Us. The audience tabs, such as middle and high school students and student loan borrowers, which were previously at the top of the site are now further down on the home page. Overall, users should experience minimal changes in the way they navigate the website.
