Summer plans

I felt the cool breeze walking along the beach in northern California, heard the roar of the water at Niagara Falls, and enjoyed a lunch of crackers and cheese while enjoying a view of the Grand Canyon.

It was quite the adventure - all from the comfort of our living room couch.

About this time of year, our family would be making or anticipating our summer travel. However, because travel probably won't happen this year, we did something a little different. We talked about our favorite memories of past travel.

Although most of us won't be able to travel this summer, we do need some time away from work. Sure, we're working from home. But we're working more hours, trying to figure out some of the chaos (did I say confusing regulations?) that is now part of our lives. As a result, stress and anxiety is at an all-time high.

There is research that happy memories can help you fight stress. So, if you can't plan a vacation, plan a staycation and remember the good times. That's something we could all use a little more of right now.
