It won't be that awkward – seeing people that you haven't seen for years. It's been about three years since we, as financial aid professionals, have gathered for an in-person national conference. The NASFAA Conference, which begins on Sunday, June 26 in Austin, is perhaps one of the first opportunities for the financial aid community to come together. The event won't exactly be the same as in the past – some of our colleagues won't be able to attend (there is a virtual option to be held later); attendees will need to be ready to show a COVID vaccination card; and there may uncertainty as to how to greet one another (nod? shake hands? fist bump?). What will never change is the friendship among fellow financial aid colleagues and that gives grace to any situation. | ||||||||||||||||
