October first is just a few short weeks away.

In anticipation of that date, the Department of Education has released materials to help prepare for the 2023-24 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form.

In an August 31 Electronic Announcement, the Department provided a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation and PDF file with information and screenshots of the 2023-24 online FAFSA form.

In the announcement, the Department said the purpose of the 2023-24 FAFSA presentation is to provide financial aid administrators, mentors, and counselors with screenshots that can be used as reference tools for internal staff trainings and high school financial aid nights.

The Department also said that the presentation's screenshots "are intended to show most of the questions on the FAFSA form; however, most students and parents may not need to answer all these questions when completing their FAFSA form." In addition, the data used in the presentations is test data and is intended to show examples of what it looks like on the website.

The presentation is large, according to the Department, and may take time to open or download.
