Getting to know the future of application processing

Software developers, who work on financial aid application processing systems, are getting what could be referred to as a "first edition" of a specifications guide for 2022-23.
However, if software developers are planning on any changes based on the new guide, they need to be aware that there could be new editions of the guide issued between now and Oct. 1, 2021.
In a July 19 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education announced the posting of the draft Application Processing System Specifications for Software Developers for the 2022-23 cycle.
According to the announcement, testing of these specifications will not be complete until October 2021, and software developers should be prepared to receive updates to the specifications until that time.
