2022-23 Verification worksheets released

January 13, 2022

Mapping Your Future recently released the 2022-23 verification worksheets provided to assist Member schools and schools in Sponsored states in collecting information they need from students to complete the verification process.

The verification worksheets were modeled after the 2021-22 worksheets with the necessary text changes made. The text was updated to the revised verbiage supplied by the U.S. Department of Education in the 2022-2023 Award Year: FAFSA Information to be Verified and Acceptable Documentation - GEN-21-06 dated September 1, 2021.

The Statement of Educational Purpose is available in English and Spanish on the appropriate online comprehensive worksheets. If you prefer to have the statement without the Spanish content, contact the Mapping Your Future staff at feedback@mappingyourfuture.org or (800) 374-4072.

The verification worksheets are one of the many benefits Mapping Your Future offers its Member schools and schools in Sponsored states. Both the 2022-23 and 2021-22 worksheets are available in the Member resources section of the secure Access Area. Since the worksheets are available as a service to Member schools and schools in Sponsored states, non-member schools are encouraged to learn more about the benefits of Membership at mappingyourfuture.org/Membership/membershippart.cfm.

Mapping Your Future also offers webinars to help with verification, such as the "Understanding taxes - The basics and beyond" webinar recording on the Webinars on-demand page that can help you prepare for reviewing tax information.

Mapping Your Future will continue to monitor future information released by the U.S. Department of Education and will make necessary updates to the verification worksheets accordingly. For questions or more information, contact the Mapping Your Future staff at feedback@mappingyourfuture.org or (800) 374-4072.
