Tests

I suffered from the pre-test jitters when I was a student. Like many other students, I worried I would forget everything I studied over the past few weeks.

Not long after I graduated and entered the work world, I remember thinking – what was I worried about? Now that I had a job, I felt I had a test of some kind every day.

For those of us working in financial aid, there are challenges everyday – new regulations or procedures to understand, compliance rules that can mean serious consequences if not followed, or complex problems faced by students and families.

Granted you won't always get a score on those kinds of daily tests, but you can assess how your office is doing. Federal Student Aid offers assessments so you can make sure you are meeting all the requirements.

With that, maybe you can avoid those pre-test (or pre-audit, as the case may be) jitters, knowing you've studied well.
