If you work in financial aid, it is easy to forget what day it is. Because we are often thinking about the next semester or the next academic year, it is easy to forget the day, even sometimes the year. This often worried me – that thinking about the future kept me from enjoying the time now. However, our work is about the future. And perhaps this is where we are our happiest – when we are in the present moment doing our work, but we are thinking about and having hope for the future. After all, since we work with students, aren't we in the business of hope for the future? | ||||||||||||||||
