What it's all about

It's about people. It was never about the technology.

Although Mapping Your Future started 25 years ago because we could deliver information and services online, the organization is one created by people wanting to help other people.

Debuting in 1996, Mapping Your Future was one of the first national websites to provide college, career, and financial aid information for students and families. At that time, we didn't know what types of services we would be able to provide but knew that we could deliver these services better by working together and staying true to our mission to serve schools, students, and families.

Since that time, Mapping Your Future has developed into a national financial aid industry collaborative project. A lot has changed in higher education and financial aid through the years but Mapping Your Future's commitment to helping students succeed remains constant.

Also constant is our appreciation of you.

Many of you have helped us in many ways through the years. Now, to help us celebrate our 25th year, please share with us some of your memories of Mapping Your Future. We may use some of what you share with us in future articles and publications.

After all, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for people – if it weren't for you.
