In another sign that a new FAFSA season is upon us, the Department of Education has released the final versions of the 2022–23 FAFSA form and worksheet.

In a September 2 Electronic Announcement, the Department said the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form and the FAFSA on the Web Worksheet are now available in PDF format both in English and Spanish.

The Department provides these watermarked documents to financial aid and college access professionals as a resource for training or for financial aid presentations. The FAFSA will be officially released to the public October 1 on StudentAid.gov and can then be used for submission to Federal Student Aid.

The 2022–23 FAFSA on the Web Worksheet provides a preview of questions that applicants and parents may be asked while completing the FAFSA form at StudentAid.gov. As a part of the announcement, the Department issued a reminder that these documents are not the financial aid application nor a part of the application.

Due to changes in legislation described in Dear Colleague Letter GEN-21-04, published by Federal Student Aid on June 11, 2021, the Student Aid Eligibility Worksheet for Question 23 will not be published.

Financial aid and college access professionals with questions about the documents should contact CPS/SAIG Technical Support at 1-800-330-5947 or by email
