Department of Education publishes 2023-24 Guides for financial aid professionals

With the release of the 2023-24 FAFSA just a couple of months away, the Department of Education has released a couple of guides to help financial aid professionals prepare for the new year.
In Electronic Announcements, the Department of Education announced the posting of the 2023-24 ISIR Guide and the 2023-24 SAR Comment Codes and Text reference guide
The 119-page ISIR Guide assists financial aid administrators (FAAs) with interpreting student information on the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR). ISIRs contain processed student information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form, as well as key processing results and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS®) financial aid history information.
The 150-page SAR Comment Codes guide includes a description of changes to the SAR comments for the 2023-24 cycle and provides the complete text for all 2023-24 cycle year comments.
